I LOVE chocolate ๐ซ. I mean, who doesn't? However, diabetes runs in my family and because of my family medical history and my genetic predisposition, I'm at risk for developing it too which is why, since transitioning to a cleaner living lifestyle, one thing I DO NOT compromise on is the level of sugar I consume. That is something I've really had to let go because I just can't. My health is too valuable.
Thank God I don't have it and I know that with my lifestyle, I'm doing the best that I can to prevent it. As a result, I've developed several recipes that curb my sugar cravings and actually do not use any added sugar. This recipe in particular accomplishes that AND IT HAS CHOCOLATE! ๐
Without further ado, here's the recipe:
Ingredients
2 bananas
4 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
2 tablespoons of baking cocoa
500 -750 mL of water (500 mL leaves it a "mousse" like consistency. 750 mL makes it more of a thick smoothie)
Instructions
Peel bananas, measure out ingredients.
Add in water first, then dry ingredients, and add bananas at the end.
Blend all together until thoroughly mixed. This will take approximately 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
And voilรก! Now you can enjoy this DELICIOUS and DECADENT dessert that will leave you feeling full and satiated.
